Blow-dryer protectant?

im starting to blow dry my hair in the morning so could you tell me what i should use to protect my hair from damage, i used sunsilk hydra TLC leave in cream before i blow dry, also is baby oil good for hair

Blow-dryer protectant?

DONT USE BLOW DRYER%26gt;JUST DONT!

Blow-dryer protectant?

You CAN blow dry your hair. It's fine. Just get a good heat protectant. John Frieda Frizz-Ease Thermal Protection Hair Serum. Won Allure's Best 2007. It's great.

Blow-dryer protectant?

yes you should use Paul Mtichell Gloss drops it works really well if you want to blow dry or straighten your hair.

Blow-dryer protectant?

Tressemme' Heat protection line.

You can get it from wal-mart and its the best.

Physics homework help PLEASE!?!?

I just posted this and someone answered but I have no idea what he is talking about so I'm posting it again. Please give me as much detail as possible.

If someone could please give me the formulas or show me how to do this that would help a lot. I have the conversions down but this is really hard for me.

1. How much heat in joules is needed to raise the temperature of 4.0 L of water from 0鎺矯 to 72.0鎺矯?

2. A quantity of gas in a piston cylinder has a volume of 0.569 m3 and a pressure of 200 Pa. The piston compresses the gas to 0.299 m3 in an isothermal (constant-temperature) process. What is the final pressure of the gas?

3. How much heat in kcal must be added to 0.51 kg of water at room temperature (20鎺矯) to raise its temperature to 41鎺矯?

4. How many kilocalories of heat does the operation of a 1190. W hair dryer produce each second?

Physics homework help PLEASE!?!?

I'm assuming this is a basic physics class, in which case the heat capacity of water, and its density are constant with temperature.

Also, we assume that water is actually slightly higher than 0C, such that it is not ice, but liquid water. Otherwise, you have to get into issues with latent heat (removing heat from water at 0C doesn't make it any colder, you have to remove extra heat to get it to freeze).

This is almost all unit conversions. So if you have those down, you're set!

1. First, what is the heat capacity of water? You might use specific heat capacity, which has units of Joules per kilogram Kelvin (J/(kg*K)), or Joules per kilogram per degree celsius.

That's the amount of heat it takes to raise the temperature of 1 kg of water by 1 degree celsius.

Let's say you have this value, call it cp. But, you have a volume of water in liters, not a mass in kg. To convert, you need the density (rho) of water. Now, as it happens, the kilogram is defined such that it is the amount of mass of 1 liter of water. So, 4 L = 4 kg.

So, you have cp (J/kg/degC) times mass (kg) times degree C.

i.e. cp*4kg*72degC = amount of joules needed to raise 4 L of water by 72 degrees. The specific heat of water is 4186 J/kg/C.

A good reference for you might be

http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hba...

for #2, you want to use Boyle's law:

PV = nRT

since n = constant (number of atoms), and temp = constant, and R is just a physical constant, then if volume decreases, P must increase.

i.e. PV = constant

so P0*V0 = P1*V1 where P0 and V0 are initial pressure and volume, and P1 and V1 are final pressure and volume. Rearrange terms to solve for final pressure.

3) This is the same as #1, except your deltaT is 21 degrees (41-20), and your mass is different. First, solve for heat in Joules. Then, convert from joules to kcal.

4) First, you must ask yourself what 1190 Watts means. The units of Watt is Joule per second. So 1190 Watts produces 1190 Joules per second. Then, just convert those joules to kcal.

England vs USA electric?

can a hair dryer i baught i n england work in the usa?

England vs USA electric?

just get an outlet adapter.

England vs USA electric?

England is probably 220 volt 50 cycle and the us is 110 volt 60 cycle. I'd toss it. They don't cost that much.

England vs USA electric?

probably not unless you get a power converter.

Or its some super expensive fancy hair dryer with a switch on the back that says that it can be switched from 110 to 240 volts.

only a few consumer items usually have this switch... such as PC's

England vs USA electric?

You'd need to buy a special plug for it.

England vs USA electric?

According to the my ref chart, the UK is on 230VAC 50 Hz. The US is on 120VAC 60 Hz. For a hair dryer the frequency wont mean a lot but you are going to need a transformer for 120VAC to 230VAC. For light duty these can usually be found packaged in the form of a wall adapter.

Drink able booze in 30 min ?

ok my science teacher and i have a bet that i cant make drinkable wine in an hr to 30 min . were going to put yest in frute juice and put a balloon over the glass and let it fill up the balloon. as we all know this is LIKE the way they make wine giving more sugar and what not . im just wondering if this can even happen . i think if i bring in a hair dryer and put it to the glass this will speed up the process . plz tell me what you think !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drink able booze in 30 min ?

You lose

No way more than a few microns of alcohol are going to be produced in that amount of time.

Drink able booze in 30 min ?

First, you need turbo yeast. Regular yeast won't due. Turbo yeast will go up to 20% AL in 24 hours. That's the fastest that you can do. It's possible that in an hour you could get it up to maybe 4 or 5 percent like beer but that's the best shot. Oh, and it will be disgusting if you try to drink it before the yeast all dies off.

Drink able booze in 30 min ?

You'll be lucky if the yeast are even active in that short a period of time. Also, a hair dryer on the glass will warm up the liquid, generally good, but if you warm up the must past 80 degrees, there's a good chance you're just going to kill off the yeast.

Short answer, your teacher wins the bet.

How do I go about waxing combi nordic skis?

Several years ago, I got some combi skis, which I never really used, as I was always out of the country during winter. However, now I'm back again and would love to get back into nordic skiing. I realize combi skis are inferior to specific classic or skating skis, but I am just looking to do a little recreational skiing on weekends, both classic and skating with these skis. I'm wondering if I only need to apply glide wax to the entire base of the skis, and the process will be complete? Also, are there any alternatives to hot iron waxing, such as a liquid or paste I could apply without an iron, maybe with just a hair dryer? These skis have only been used for a little classic skiing, but barely any at all and have never been waxed. Thanks for the help!

Just use a candle.

I dropped my tom tom sat nav in a bucket of floor cleaner. does anyone know how i can get it working

ive tried using the hair dryer but to no avail

I dropped my tom tom sat nav in a bucket of floor cleaner. does anyone know how i can get it working again?

If you don't have it on warranty you can try opening it up and washing it without the battery in distilled water or just plain bottled water if you can't get the distilled. Dry it out and let it sit for a few days, inspect the battery/power contacts and clean if needed.

Finally try powering it up, if it wasn't permanently damaged when dropped in the bucket, if it was on it's more likely it's dead, it might come back. The cleaner could have caused corrosion or build up to form on contacts, just drying it without cleaning out the cleaner might not be enough which is why I'd advise the distilled water to flush out the cleaner.

It's still a long shot but the only one I see you having, if it doesn't work the last thing I'd try is rinsing it again in distilled water and using a stiff plastic brush on the components to try removing any dried/caked on residue.

i work in electronics and NO it is a gonner. The minute the boards inside get wet it's over, they get fried or shorted out!!!

How to prove you're not insaine...?

At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.

Page yourself over the intercom. Don't disguise your voice.

Insist that your e mail address is:

Xena-Warrior-Princess@companyn...

Elvis-the-King@companyname.com

Every time someone asks you to do something, ask if they want fries with that.

Encourage your colleagues to join you in a little synchronized chair dancing.

Put your garbage can on your desk and label it 閳ユ窔N.閳?

Develop an unnatural fear of staplers.

Ask people what sex they are. Laugh hysterically after they answer.

Specify that your drive-through order is 閳ユ涪o go.閳?

Sing along at the opera.

Go to a poetry recital and ask why the poems don't rhyme.

Adjust the tint on your monitor so that the brightness level lights up the entire work area. Insist to others that you like it that way.

Oh dear, oh dear..................... definitely time for a new career.

How to prove you're not insaine...?

Well, in these cases, you just cannot prove such a difficult thing as "not being insane"!!
