Hairstyle ideas for a 11 year old entering 6th grade?

My daughter is entering 6th grade this fall and wants a "style". Her hair is real long, middle of her back, all one length and stick straight. She doesn閳ユ獩 want bangs but would like something so that she doesn閳ユ獩 just tuck her hair behind her ears. I was thinking about longer layers but i don閳ユ獩 know how its gonna look with stick straight hair. It needs to be pretty easy to do and something that can dry on its own cuz she doesn閳ユ獩 use the hair dryer or curing iron yet. Any suggestions or pictures? Or any ideas on websites that we can browse through together to see what she may like?

I would give her long layers and taper the ends which would give it more body so when she doesn't want to fix her hair it would still look nice insead of all chopped up. This is what all the little girls were getting this weekend. I did about 50-60 tweens and it looks really nice on them not to much but just enough to show that they are growing up.

you should french braid her hair into pigtails, it looks cute, and is in 'style', also, you should probably buy her a conditioner or frizz ease

Definite long layers! They are meant for strat hair! Or try some loose curls. That would look great with her legnth of hair.

i'm the same age and i'm going to put my hair in low pig tails that fall in the front i think that they look really pretty

Long layers is great on straight hair, and for added style you could use a volumizing spray, or mouse. I'd also suggest just getting the hair trimmed. It will make the hair softer and look a lot healthier. Also a shine spray looks REALLY pretty on dark hair, if thats what she has. Well it looks great on all hair, but especially dark hair. And why doesn't she use the curling iron? I love long curls. If its because you don't allow her to, I think the time has come for her to be given the privelidge. I was curlign my hair when i was in 2nd grade. But I did have my mom teach me first.

you should get her hair angled. it looks cute and its only a small portion of her hair that is cut so it will be easy to grow back......most girls in middle school(6-8grade) don't curl their hair..they straighten it but she won't need to do that if her hair is already straight.

angled hair is when you cut a small amount of hair shorter in the front and gradually cut it longer...the back is all the same length

i have similar hair and i got it angled and i love it....i also have side swept bangs that are mostly long enough to pull behind my ears

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

On your pillows and/or sheets? Shame on you! :P

Some silly warning labels that I guess some moron did at one time, so now we all have to be treated like a moron.

"For external use only!" -- On a curling iron.

"Warning: This product can burn eyes." -- On a curling iron.

"Do not use in shower." -- On a hair dryer.

"Do not use while sleeping." -- On a hair dryer.

"Do not use while sleeping or unconscious." -- On a hand-held massaging device.

"Do not place this product into any electronic equipment." -- On the case of a chocolate CD in a gift basket.

"Recycled flush water unsafe for drinking." -- On a toilet at a public sports facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

"Shin pads cannot protect any part of the body they do not cover." -- On a pair of shin guards made for bicyclists.

"This product not intended for use as a dental drill." -- On an electric rotary tool.

"Caution: Do not spray in eyes." -- On a container of underarm deodorant.

LOL. Yes I sure do! I like doing things that I'm not allowed to do. Now that the world knows I removed the label from my pillow... will I be arrested or something?

The sad part is they would not have those warnings if some idiot somewhere had not done the thing they are warning you about.

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

hahaha...you should do one about what's written on user's manuals...

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

Wow. Well there's an idiot that will try everything..

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

i'm a rebel..i guess, one time a state patrol officer walked up to me and just stared at me, i stared back, said hello, he continued to stare, so i offered him a cigar, i all ways remove the tags, stuff like that.

I really want to clear this up. The tag says "Not to be removed EXCEPT BY CONSUMER" We are the consumers, people. We can rip those mfs off all day long.

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

the tags apply to stores selling after it goes home it don't matter.....the rest is because some stupid fool did it and tried to sue the company because they where morons

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

can u repeat the question............

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

I take it off in the store, before I pay for it.

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

Have to remember that we were brought up learning these things. Like telling a young child not to touch the stove - it's hot! Learning experience. As for the tags - you own it, you can abuse it.

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

that is done not because some idiot wrote them at one time or other but because some idots done these things and got clever lawyers to sue the companies so now they protect themselves by writing that shite. that can ONLY be seen in america. why am i not surprised

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

I guess you would call me a rebel.......

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

all those are for the people that are so dumb. My one uncle read the back of a pretzel bag that gave directions for opening the bag how stupid, LOL

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

I love those warnings. The worst part is that someone had to have done it for the warning to be issued.

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

I just got out of jail for doing all that!!!

Are you a rebel? Do you remove the tag even though it's illegal?

Beauty Organization?

How can I keep my beauty stuff organized. I don't have my own bathroom so I can't keep my makeup and styling tools in there, but I have to keep them on my dresser instead. It gets kind of cluttered, and I have all my makeup (eye makeup, lipgloss, foundation/coverup, everything) in one little tin on my dresser along with my hair brushes, hair stuff (styling products, hair ties, etc.) and my straightener and hair dryer all on my dresser. How can I keep my beauty supplies organized? AHHH! HELP PLEASE!

Beauty Organization?

I have this little box from Ikea and when you

open it, it's kind of like a tool box with places

and little squares to keep stuff in place. I have

a place for my mascara, my powders, my eye

liners, and shadows. Just keep an eye out for

any kind of boxes that have organized boxes

in them so you can keep your makeup in place.

Something like this will definitely do:

Beauty Organization?

Get like a make up box and put your stuff in there, and put it on your dresser.

Beauty Organization?

i know how u feel. i share a bathroom with 2 of my sisters and i hate leaving my stuff in there because they some how disappear. what i did was buy those large rectangular shaped plastic pencil cases and put all of my foundations in one case, all of my lip glosses in another, and so on and so fourth. it keeps u organized and you know where everything is so its easy to find. hope that helped! =]

Beauty Organization?

See if you can get small shoeboxs and put all the small things in one box. But make sure there is something dividing them. For the big things if you have an empty dressre space put the big stuff in there. Labling would also help. If that doesn't work go to the doller store and see if they have a make-up poch. That way you know were everything is.

Beauty Organization?

For your make-up, I'd recommend getting a make-up box with several compartments for different things, like eyeshadow, lip gloss and stick, mascara, foundation, eyeliner, etc., and that should keep all your make-up neat and organized. Also, try getting a larger one for hair accessories, with maybe a larger spot to keep your combs and brushes in. Styling products, I'd say keep them lined up neat and organized along your dresser, or maybe a shelf, and keep your hair dryer and straightener on one end of your dresser, cords untangled so that you don't get frustrated when you go to grab one.

If you don't have/can't afford make-up and hair product boxes, invest in little plastic boxes, they can keep your stuff organized very well. They don't look the fanciest, but they work just as good if not easier.

Hope I helped.
