What is the best way to seal Kanekalon dreads?

I am experimenting with making dread falls. I have pretty much aced the dreadin' part but I am havin some trouble getting them to seal at the ends.

I have been using a hair dryer and a curling iron. Many burns later I have half my falls set made. Does anyone know of an easier, more efficiant way to seal off the ends of the dreads? What about this CRAAAAAZYNESS i've heard, stickin' em' in boiling water?

Thanks soooo much for all your help!

Boil the ends or steam them. You can also burn the ends.
