I'm traveling to England and France (going abroad for the first time) and was wondering where I can get converters for my digital camera charger, hair dryer, etc.? Can you get them in stores, or do you have to order them online? And can you use one for everything, or do you need separate ones for each item?

walmart or radio shack try those two.

one will work for everything. my son bought the expensive one, but when he got to germany they had cheap ones there that worked better. you might want to wait till you get there.

You can buy them just about anyplace... walmart, best buy, circuit city..... tigerdirect.com, J%26amp;R.com, etc.
Read your adapters carefully because a lot of the power over there is 220 and not 110. If your equipment requires only 110volts get something that will step down the 220 to 110, if your stuff is expensive spend a few extra bucks and get a stepdown model with surge protection.
You can get a simple universal plug for about 10 bucks or you can spend 100 bucks for something fancy that offers more protection.
