He surived wet tail but i dont know if his cage is clean enough....?

first i soaked it in 1/10 bleach and water for about 30 mins. then i took it out and soaked it in soapy water for about 10 mins. then i rinsed off all the soap and bleach and dryed it with a towel then with a hair dryer. then i let it cool down for about 10 mins and since i had nowhere to put the hamster i put him in the cage for now....did i clean it good enough?!

It sounds like you did alrigh, you cleaned everything and tossed away what you couldn't clean.

Honestly though i'd skip the soapy water step if something were to happen, soap can cause your hamster to get wettail again.

Next time though just put your hamster in a little box, I have a small terrarium I place my hamsters in when something like this happens.

Towel drying is never really the best, it's best to let it sit out so the bleach can evaporate off of it (any that you missed)

You'll have to wait until the morning to be able to know if he's fine or not, even a small amount of bleached will poison and kill him, but it sounds like you did just fine !

yes you did very well with the cage, the bleach was a good idea, and thank god you rinsed it off completely, because some owners forget that step and cause their hamsters even more harm

although i would just like to add you need to clean everything in the cage as well, such as the wheel, food bowl, tubes, etc, and espcially the water bottle, the water bottle is the touchest to clean, and people end up needing a toothpick to clean it, honestly its better to get a new water bottle all together, but if u can clean the water bottle, go for it, also toys like a playpen or hamster ball should also be cleaned
