Can you use 220 voltage on 230 voltage plugs? Is there a difference?

I'm going to Australia and I have a 220 v hair dryer. Can I use it on a 230 v plug?

u may, but the configuration of the prongs may stop u from inserting into the recept. Being from a different country, also our 220v is on 2 lines or wires as their may be on one wire and when u go to turn it on it might go boom in your hand so check this out on the labels or with the local travel agents.

Normally appliences are rated for a 10% voltage tolerance so it will be fine. If your from the USA chances are you'll have a 2 pin round prong plug, while here in Australia we use a 3 pin flat pronged plug which is earthed. You'll need a converter plug which most travel agents can sell you for 10-20 bucks.
