How long should i wait to charge my phone after it went in water.?

Ok so yestarday i was swimming and had my phone in my pocket for about 4 minutes. I blew all the water out i could then took a 150 watt light bulb and hair dryer to get more water out. Then i let it sit next to the vent for 12 hours. Now it works fine, but im afriad to charge it because it seems like their is water still in the screen and i dont want to fry the battery after getting it to work again. What should i do?

Do you have insurance on the phone? I can't believe you got it to work again after being submerged for so long! In most cases I've heard of, it never really works quite right again.... maybe wait until you HAVE to charge it.... let it die and plug it in. Unless your battery is low, you shouldn't be charging it anyways. It causes the battery to wear out and you may get a bulge on the battery (Happened to me and then Verizon told me not to constantly charge it until it was on it's last bar). Good luck!

Well, you could also leave it outside in the sun for awhile to make sure. Just in case there's still some water in your phone. I've heard if you take the battery out and put your phone in the over for awhile that works to (I don't reccomend trying that though) Then after it's been outside for awhile (if it's hot enough) then try charging, it never hurts to be extra careful with your phone!

Just guessing here, but if you still think there is water in it continue to let it dry out completely and then start charging it. That's what I did with mine when I dropped it in the toilet! Yes, I get the idiot of the year award for that one!!! : ) BUT, it came back to life and still worked!
