A hair dryer draws 1.5A from a 120V source. If the hair dryer is used for 10min the energy consumed is b*10 . The value of b is .....???

=180watts

energy consumed in 10minutes=180*1/6 /1000=3/100 kwh

b*10=3/100

b=3/1000=0.003answer

( I have never seen a 1.5 amp hair dryer)

So watts per min = 180/60 = 3 watts per min

so in your equations b = 3

1.5 x 120= 180 watts or 0.18 KW, so there you have it . this is a rather rediculious question as most hairdryers require about 1000 watts to function. if this is a test question, i take exception to the validity of of the reality of it.
