how can ppl burn their hair using a flat-iron or a hair-dryer??

cuz everytime my mom sees me falt-ironing my hair she says don't burn ur hair =S

It's true. Hair can be burnt. If your flat iron is too hot, you'll literally singe your hair. Have you ever held a piece of hair up to a flame? It sizzles and shrivels instantly. It's not indestructable by any means. You have to be careful with it, and use a heat-protective serum if you're always straightening it. And don't use the straightener on high. Experiment starting at a low temperature to see how high you have to go to efficiently straighten your hair without it being too hot.

as long as you don't use it everyday, it won't completely burn.....but the heat can burn it and change it to a lighter color, if you use it everyday or almost everyday!

Yeah I've done that before you see I have thin hair and I had mine on high with turbo.I was young and stupid like 10.It just looks kind of jagged an d frizzy had to get it cut off!
