Can i report a landlord?

Yes, call your local building inspector/health inspector. Get them to condemn the building. That will revoke your lease and you are a free man

Can i report a landlord?

Oh heck yes!

Can i report a landlord?

yes and move out

Can i report a landlord?

Call code enforcement!!!!!!!!!!!

Can i report a landlord?

yea do it report him. Those are not fit living conditions.

Can i report a landlord?

Move out! You wouldn't want bad relations with your brother-in-law. It's difficult to live with family especially when they are in charge.

Can i report a landlord?

i am not sure who you would call, but you can try calling the local building inspector and see if they can inspect your place. or see if they would know who to call to report him. but yes you can report him cause you are living a safety and health hazardous place. good luck

Can i report a landlord?

Sure you can. You can also expect to have to move out when the health department condemns the property until it is repaired. It's your choice. If I were you, I'd talk to your brother-in-law about fixing the problems. If he does nothing and you don't care about moving, go ahead and report him.

Can i report a landlord?

Report to who? The local council, cause you are living off of the benefit system?

Well, I'd certainly try to address the problems directly first, as he is now family, and I'm guessing he gave you a place there as a favor to you - ie no big damage deposit / background checks / credit checks.

And what does your tenancy agreement say? Are you responsible for certain repairs / maintenance / decoration?

Make sure you try to resolve this with him before making trouble, as you may find yourself with a 'notice to vacate' if he feels you are being a pain.

Can i report a landlord?

yes you can report him i live in canada: to do this here you must go to the tenancy board office and make a claim they will do the rest for you. have you put your requests of concerns in writing to your landlord? he may be your brother but he is a landlord and then you might have a better chance of getting things done. for future reference do not mix family and business cause they dont work

Can i report a landlord?

I'm going to guess that you have already tried to talk to your brother-in-law about the living conditions. Is this a single unit rental or a multi-unit where others can also call? Definitely call the health department to inspect the building or the local housing inspector. I would be running out of there with that type of electrical problems when you hear animals in the walls. The wires have probably been chewed and will short out.

Can i report a landlord?

Well the first thing you need to know is that your brother in law by not providing you with a safe and habitable place to live in has indeed given you what is called "constructive eviction" so there you go. If you tell us what state you are in we can provide you with the links that you will need to take care of the problem.

Buena Suerte

Can i report a landlord?

Here is a list of things to do to get you started:

1. Review the "閳ユ窡ANDLORD AND TENANT ACT OF 1951閳?- see link below

2. Write a letter to your brother-in-law and tell him of all the problems you are experiencing with the rental property. Certify the letter so you will have proof that he received the letter. Be sure to be as specific as possible when explaining all the problems. If you have told your brother-in-law of the issues previously and he has simply done nothing to resolve the problems 閳?inform him you will be taking action if he does not provide a sufficient response. Now, if he gets mad at you and attempts to evict you 閳?he cannot 閳?evict you out of malice. If he does attempt 閳?you can file a nice 閳ユ笧etaliation閳?law suit against him 閳?something that he really does not want to get into and will most surely loose.

3. Wait at least 2 weeks for a reply. You may need to wait at least 30 days for the issues to be fixed and completely resolved. Day one of the 30 will begin on the day you get the certified letter receipt back from the post office. Just make sure you put that thing somewhere safe where it will not get lost. If the problems exist past 30 days, file a formal complaint. After an extensive search on the net 閳?I cannot find anything specific for you because I do not know where you live exactly. I looked at your 360 page and that is what tipped me off that you were in Delco County, PA. What I would suggest is you calling your social services department and asking them where you can get information on city ordinances which may dictate your rights that the city recognizes as you 閳?as a tenant.

4. Last of all, if you have a problem or a dispute with a landlord or any other business, you can call the Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection at 1-800-441-2555, or you can also file an online complaint. I am most sure that someone on the office will be able to help you. Overall, however, you really should start on the local level before for to 閳ユ笁igher閳?powers..

Hope this helps閳ヮ泧nd good luck.
