[HELP] i dropped my cell phone in the toilet!?

i dropped my cell phone in the toilet about

2-3 sec. right after i heard the splash..

my phone is motorola razr and about 1 and half years old.. when i flipped the phone, it was still on so i took the battery out right away and dried it with toilet paper;;

i never turned it on yet, because im scared..

what should i do!! help! this is my 2 phone this year :(

i used the hair dryer to dry it. can i turn it on now..?

This is the weirdest thing, but trust me it works, It worked for my phone when i dropped it in my pool. Go to the store and buy a bag of white rice, enough to cover the phone and battery the whole Way. Put the rice in a bowl and place the phone in to the bottom (covered the whole way). Leave the phone in the rice for 24-48 hours. The rice will absorb the water from inside the phone (places where a blow drier wont wont.) After 48 hours your phone should work fine. I hope you try this as it did work for me. Lemme know if it worked!

Hmm....since it got water damaged it might not turn on. Try turning it on first. If it doesn't turn on try replacing the battery and if it still doesn't turn on, i'm sorry to say there's nothing you can do, but get a new phone.

yep turn it on, hair dryer always works. :), works with ipods phones, cams w/e. make sure that ur sim cards dry too and you should always dry the battery 2-3 minutes with dryer on low.

open where the battery is and use a hair dryer on it, and there should be 2 little dots when you take your battery out, if they are both white, your phone doesn't have any water damage. if they are a different color on the other hand, i would try to dry it as much as you can, and take it in to the store. but it should be fine. good luck.

i would i droped mine in a sink full of water twice in a row and i dried it off with a paper towel and it was fine. (If mine is ok yours should be ok because mine was in their longer than yours.)

All of the ideas presented are good! Don't forget to take the battery apart as well and let it dry thoroughly. I did the blow dryer and the white rice to both the phone and the battery for 48 hours and the phone worked and has been working for the last 1 1/2 years. Good luck!!

My brother dropped his phone in the toilet, and it still works, but he had to let it dry for over 3 weeks. It was acting weird for a long time, but if you let it dry it will work. It night turn on and off over and over again, but just leave it to dry and use a different phone and it will work.
