I need a Sanyo 8400 Cellphone from Sprint?

MY Sanyo went scuba diving on the toilet courtesy of my 3 year old niece last friday. I removed the battery and used the hair dryer and all but so far the phone will receive calls but none of the keypad numbers, nor the menu/ok or talk button works. The only way i can answer is by pressing the speaker button. This phone i got brand new @ Sprint on November, and i already got the discounts and rebates i was allowed. I have to shell out the almost 400. Or wait a year to be able to get the rebates. I keep bidding on ebay and at the last minute i lose the bid. Does any1 know a place where i can buy a cheap sanyo 8400 sprint cellphone?

Come on, help me,,,,,,there are 10 points up for grabs. anyone?

Sorry to hear about your cell phone mishap! Unfortunately, the Sanyo 8400 is not a cheap phone. Even new customers have to shell out $130 for this phone and that's paired with a 2-year contract. What you're looking at there with the $400 is the unsubsidized price of the phone. You may want to consider replacing your phone with a cheaper model. It might have been a no brainer if when you originally got it they offered all sorts of rebates and incentives but now you're really going to have to weigh the extra cost against the extra features that phone might have against something cheaper. If you insist on keeping such expensive phones, might I suggest you take advantage of Sprint's phone insurance for such mishaps as this? ;-)

Alright, provided I can't talk you out of another 8400, look at eBay again. I know, I know, you've already looked there and now you can see the game proxy bidding poses. There are even programs that allow people to hold their bid until 3 seconds before the auction ends! This is the best way to get a cheap price on this phone, but not everyone wants to play the game. That's okay! What I'd suggest to you is go back to eBay and search for Sprint Sanyo 8400 again (or Sprint SCP-8400) and this time when the results come up, tick the box in the yellow area on the left for "Show Buy It Now Items Only". Now click "Show Items" and when that comes up, sort by price low to high by clicking on "Price" in blue letters at the top of the column. Scroll down past the ones that are cheap but require a plan. Get down to around $200 and voila! Brand new Sanyo 8400's without a plan for as cheap as $208 including shipping. Since they're Buy It Now, you're not competing at the last minute trying to beat everyone's bid or not get your bid beat. You buy it, and it's yours. Simple as that. Here's some listings for you that are current right now: (just copy and paste these into the eBay search box)

330078901170

170072494092

170072495315

Being that the last 4 of these that sold NOT Buy It Now but in the traditional auction ended for $197.50, $202.50, $227.50, $172.50 all before shipping costs, those Buy It Now phones really aren't that bad of a deal. Just a lot less headache! ;-)

Good luck!
