How do you clean a stuffed animal with faux fur?

My parents got me a white stuffed cat when I was in the hospital. Over the years from dust, it has yellowed. I want to take it with me when I go for surgery on Monday. Any ideas on how to clean it for me to take? Would Wool-Lite work or something else? How do you dry it then? Clothes dryer, hair dryer, or air dry? Any ideas would be appreicated. Thanks!!

You culd try woolite, but you would really have to rinse it out well!!! And then the clothes dryer.

I used to wash my boys' stuffed animals all the time. I used the regular washer. I put them into a pillow case and tied it closed, and then the dryer.

put it in the washing machine, and hang it to dry. Or hand wash it. Dont dry it in the clothes dryer or else it will get all matted, and poofy (believe me it looks really bad). just leave it out to dry.

I put stuffed animals in nylon stockings and toss them in the washer. To clean old yellowed fur, use hot water and detergent. Its best to leave it out to dry, but if time doesn't allow, leave the cat in the stockings to tumble dry on the lowest heat setting.

Hi there. May your surgery go very well and you recover quickly. I would put it in the washer with cool water, detergent and add 1/2 cup of borax. It's strong but gentle and environmentally friendly.
