I need packing help!?

I'm a teenage girl and my mom is dumping me for 22 days with my grandparents in a small town where I don't know anyone and I'm only allowed to take 1 suitcase and my purse! Can you please give me suggestions for fitting everything in my (medium) suitcase. I need 22 shirts, 2 bathing suits, 22 bottoms, socks, under wear, shoes, cosmetics, toiletries, a hair dryer, a hair straightener, a hair curler, my dress for my cousin's wedding, accessories, and belts to all fit! Pleeeassse help!

You don't necessarily need 22 of everything if your grandparents have a washing machine or a laundry mat nearby or something. And do you really need both a straightener and a curler? You either have straight, curley, or no hair. Bring only three pairs of shoes: street shoes, nice shoes for the wedding, and sandals. That's all you need. Buy a couple of those air compressor bags to put your clothes in. They save a lot of room and you could probably fit more stuff in the bag that way.

why can u only bring ONE suitcase? but anyway you dont need to bring exactly the same amount of clothes as the time you're staying..

for example laundry can be done, jeans and other clothes can be reworn if its still clean and I'm sure that you dont need to bring some of the things you mentioned..

balance it out.. BUT if you really need everything, roll ur clothes up, dont fold it coz it takes up more space..

all the best!

My first piece of advice is: don't take 22 shirts and 22 bottoms! I'm sure your grandparents have a washing machine, and if it's a small town, you probably won't be going out that much. I think 7 tops and 7 bottoms should be sufficient (roll them tightly instead of folding to save space). As for toiletries, buy little travel squirt bottles and fill them with your favorite liquid toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, facial wash, etc.) so that you don't have to bring big bottles with you. Good luck!

Roll each item of clothing tight by folding in the sides then rolling from the bottom up. Leave the formal dress until last and then fold that over the top. Carry your makeup and toiletries in your purse (or, buy a big cheap purse and load it up). BTW - I'm assuming the grandparents have a washing machine, so you don't need a new outfit for every day. Pick tops and bottoms that you can mix and match and plan on washing once a week. That will cut your load down considerably. Good luck and have fun!

Aren't you going to your grandparents? They have a washing machine you know......

So here's my advice......take enough clothes for a week and then wash! By that standard you'll need 7 shirts max, 3-4 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of pants/jeans, 7 underwear, 7 pairs of socks, your makeup, basic toiletries (your grandparents will most likely have soap and toothpaste so you'll only have to pack shampoo and stuff if you don't use what they use), and a dress for your cousins wedding. Call your grandparetns and ask them if they have a hair dryer and hair curler (they probably have the dryer at least). Utilize your grandparents supplies.....they probably have stuff you don't think they have.

Good luck.....you can do it......in the end you're going to a small town......no one's gonna care if you're the fashion queen! Mix and match your outfits.....no one will notice!

Have a great time!
