I have a revlon hair dryer, I also have curly hair, and for a while I used to use my hair straight. I didn't buy an expensive dryer, but my hairdryer is really good, it has this ionic button which is supposed to help not make your hair frizzy afterwards. Also you don't need any special expensive brush, just buy a long round brush, I bought my at a beauty store for I think $4.89, and my hair dryer was $19.99( it ranges from $19-25 dollars) I bought mine at Rite Aid. Also you need to buy those serum products to use on your hair before blow drying, those are not expensive, you can buy the Pantene serum,Garnier Fructis, or the John Frieda and it won't be more than $7 dollars, and they last a long time. Don't use it a lot, or it will make your hair greasy. Also buy shampoos, conditioner and levae in for damage hair(because blow drying will make your hair dry and brittle) Here is the exact blow dryer and brush that I have:

hair dryers are going to dry hair out pretty much for everyone. u can get a cheap one at doller general (i think) or walmart. i kno from experience that they do help when i comes to strightening :)

You should use Herbal Essences Totally Twisted or Herbal Essences None of your frizzness. Those both help, when thins such as heat really will help DAMAGE your hair more.

I am a cosmetologist-

Start with a product to help moisturize the hair, then use a dryer and hair brush and do not dry completely, leave a little moisture in there.

if redbaby94s answer doesnt get deleted than yahoo is stupid because one of my answers got deleted and it wasnt even mean or bad.

BUT ANYWAY, i dont think that a very expensive hair dryer will do anything different than a cheap one. but it should have a heat control. and i found one at walmart for less than 20. i think thats pretty cheap.
