How do I fix a dent in my car door?

Someone kicked my car door, and there is a dent in the door now. I have tried getting the dent hot with a hair dryer and then using an air can and also dry ice to make the dent pop out. It didn't work. I used a plunger and it took the big part of the dent out, but there are still two littler dents left--about 8 inches by 4 inches for one of them and a smaller one. I don't want to take it to a garage, they will charge too much, are there any suggestions you have?

When I worked for an auto dealership we had a guy that came by once a week to take dents out of used trade ins.

Usually they drill a hole in the door jam and use special tools the pop it from the inside out.

My wifes personal vehicle had a dent so I asked if he'd work on it, and I was charged about $50.

I might of got a discount, but it shouldn't be more than $100.

Buy a new door.

Or, take the door pannel off, and pop it our from the inside, but, buying the tools to do this your self will be more then a body shop visit..

anyhow, you could use bondo, but youd have to sand down the paint, score the **** out of the metal, apply your bondo, which dries REALLL fast. so if you **** up you start over.

when its dry, (A week later)sand it smooth, and paint it.

But if you dont knwo how to do this, itll look worse then a dent.

and who cares about dents anyways?

Bondo, like the other guy said would be an option, also, there are tools that pop dents out. One type, you tack weld a metal thing to the dent then pull it out, then you grind down the weld and paint. If the dent isn't to bad, then there are smaller "plunger" type tools that would work good too. I recommend taking off the door panel and popping it out from the inside, if you can, this would be the cheapest and easiest way of doing it.

Look up paintless dent removal in your phone book. Most of them will even come to your house. A couple small dents will probably cost 150 bucks.
