You can! Absolutely DO NOT turn it on! Take off the battery, dry it off as best you can, maybe even shake it some to try and force water out of the interior. Now comes the hard part, LEAVE IT ALONE for at LEAST 3 days. Set it someplace warm and dry and ignore it. If you can do 4 or 5 days its even better. What you are doing is giving time for nature to evaporate the rest of the water you can't get to out. I have dropped my phone in a glass of diet coke, same principle, it will work when you dry it out. If you get impatient and apply electricity (turn it on) you risk destroying it forever.

Get a new one by telling your dealer to replace it, they should or they just don't give a crap and they won't...I sometimes had cellphone dealers, they such cowards.

if it still has the warranty on it, you need to take it back. if no warranty, try laying it out in the sun to dry. leave it there for at least a day. try recharging with the adaptar after you get it dry. good luck.

If you open the back cover and see a red dot...that is it, it is fully saturated. Do you have insurance on it? If so, take advantage of that....otherwise time to get a new phone. Best of luck to you

Wow, people really don't understand technology and/or the limitations of warranties. Your phone is dead - admit you screwed up, recycle it, don't do it again, and buy a new phone.

You can't recover it from the dead.(LOL). If you still have the warranty on it take it to your cell phone office and get a new one. Once they get wet thats it, and the dealer has a way to tell if it got wet or not.

Try using A bag of uncooked rice. A friend of mine dropped his digital camera in a sink full of water. He put it in A gallon zip lock bag of rice for 24 hours. The rice will absorb all the moisture. He said it worked just take the battery out and put it aside. Leave alone four up to 24- 48 hours.

UNFORTUNATELY CELL PHONES AND WATER DON'T MIX. If you selected to have insurance when you purchased your phone NOW would be a good time to use it. ALL WARRANTIES FOR CELL PHONES BECOME VOID IF THERE IS WATER DAMAGE. You can ask your vendor/provider for a new phone, but there will be a charge. They can tell that there has been water damage very easily when they open it, so don't try to claim some other defect.
