I've been having problems with my scalp lately and I'm thinking I need to wash my hair with medicated shampoo twice a week instead of once but this is a problem. I have no clue what to do with it. My hair is medium/long it goes over my shoulders...probably not so much anymore since I've scratched it all out...and wavy. My mom says she likes it when I dry it under the hair dryer and just leave it like it is but I'm scared of looking like a witch. I've got to do something.
Please if you know of any NATURAL styles that DO NOT require me going into the salon help me out. I don't want to put a lot of heat on my hair also...other than drying.

Shave your head using a #2 or #3 and start over. Actually very short hair on african american women is very sexy. Look at Holly Berry a few years back

i think you should straighten your hair that would be really nice or you can just put in a ponytail or pigtails of something. or use regualr rollers to make it curly big rollers for big wavy curls or small or itny rollers for small or itny curls or medium sized rollers for medium sized curls and i use hot rollers those heat up but do not put a lot of heat on your hair at all, but when you straighten your hair you put a lot of heat and it smells burnt at least mine does *good luck* :)

well do you moisturize your scalp? without moisturizing your scalp, it creates severe itching and dryness. and your mom is correct about drying your hair under the hood dryer, it's MUCH better for your hair than the "evil" blow dryer..

Perhaps you can do some 2 strand twists... Braid it after washing and then take it down for a wavy affect (also called a braid-out)
