Relaxing (straight perm) VS Flat Iron?

I am a teenage girl who's got exremly wavy hair. I mean it goes insane if i let it naturally dry with no product/flat iron/hair dryer. This problem has only gotten worse since I got a hair cut that I love, but really only looks good with straight hair.

I spend a lot of time out at my church's camp through out the entire year, and you can probably guess that my hair look horrible because there is no power out there.

Anyway, my question is which is worse for your hair, getting a straight perm and having that for however long or straightning my hair every other day (I only shower every other day). Also, is there such a thing as a relaxing/straight perm kit that I could do at home/get someone to do it for me at home so that I wouldnt have to pay tons of money to get it done at a salon?

Thanks so much in advance!

Just use a perm (without curlers) from the store to straighten it. This is what my black cousins do to straighten their hair. Or you could use a hair straightening shampoo... http://www.nextag.com/hair-shampoo-strai...

Hey i would think the stratener works better along with is cheaper and if you get a good one is better for your hair.. i've heard that the relaxing really doesnt striaten your hair a lot anyway (especcially if you have really curly hair) go with the straightner..( use a deep conditioner once a week to help maintain your hairs softness and help your hair)

i do know that there is a straghtener that you can use that makes it REALY straight for a while. my bff has wavy hair to and it works on her. its made by conair its kinda pricy tho but it would be more expensive to go and get it done.

good luck!! xoxo
