Packing for a vacation?

I will be going to Cuba for a week in about two weeks, and I've never really been on a Caribbean vacation.

I am sort of in the middle of high- and low-maintenance. I like to do things with my hair a lot(any hairstyles?) so I need my flat iron and hair dryer.

I don't wear make up, unless on special occasions or going out.

I want to know what to pack, how to pack it, how to bring it on the plane, etc.

Any tips on the flight there/the packing/the actual vacation/etc, would be very helpful.

Best answer is to be rewarded with the most detailed as well as helpful answer.

Thank you! :)

Packing for a vacation?

Are you traveling alone? Since you are going to a tropical place, pack clothes that are lightweight. Cubans love to dance, so bring some beautiful sexy dressy sandals for dancing. Pack dresses that flow with your body. You may want to do some shopping in the open air markets, so pack comfy walking shoes and light shorts and halter tops. You may also want to pack a swimsuit or bikini, because the lure of the ocean will be strong.

If you are packing your flat iron, you may also want to pack some hair spritz that will keep your hair sleek, like John Frieda. Some makeup is a good thing in a dark nightclub. Most of these things can be brought in checked luggage. If you wear contacts

I would bring a lot of cash if you are going to Cuba! You can get arrested just for walking...and you'll need to bribe your way out.
