Transfer 120V to 220V?

I have a question from my homework; it's said "The wall outlets in your home are 120V. In europ, the wall outlets typically supply 220V. Find out how you can use your hair dryer in Europe."

I looked at all the website that I could ..but I couldn't find the answer ..Can anyone help me? I told my teacher ..if I were on that problem I would buy another hair dryer in Europe instead using mine .lolz

Radio shack has adapters you can buy. Another possibility would be to get a step-down transformer to convert the power. A low efficiency scheme would be to build a voltage divider circuit to reduce voltage.

You have to use a transformator 120 to 220 with the adecuated capacity of current

Transfer 120V to 220V?

Easy enough...Go to radio shack and get a 2:1 step down wall wart that will turn 240v to 120v. It is a simple transformer that is readily available. You should also know that the wall voltage is usually +or- 10%

just use a convertier!

if you are in US, its 110v...

Make sure to mention to him that the 10 Hz difference (Europe - 50Hz) will burn up your hairdryers motor. Maybe some extra credit huh?
